About Us

Who We Are

Brynderwen Sport Horses is owned and operated by Nicky Buckingham and Joe Conoscienti. Nicky was born and raised in the United Kingdom and has been addicted to horses for as long as she can remember. In addition to producing young horses Nicky has a wealth of experience competing through the 3 star level of eventing and through Intermediate 1 dressage. She is a USDF bronze and silver medal holder and is currently working towards her gold medal.

Our Farm

Brynderwen Sport Horses took its name from Nicky’s great Uncle’s farm “Brynderwen” which was located in Llangrannog in the valley of the River Hawen in South Wales. Today “Brynderwen” is situated on 14 picturesque acres in sunny Ocala Florida.

The Horses

Our horses are hand selected by Nicky and range from top quality Dressage Horses, Jumpers and Eventers. Nicky's long-term contacts in the UK and mainland Europe assist her in sourcing future equine superstars for to import into the U.S.

Maximo

2017 16.1hh KWPN Gelding

Maximo is an imported 2017 KWPN gelding by Inspire (Everdale) out of a Donnerschall mare. Maximo is a serious dressage horse in the making. Although a little on the green side for his age he is progressing very quickly with his training. He will be a competitive FEI horse in the future. Maximo is very easy to handle and has an affectionate, willing temperament.

Oscar is an imported 2019 KWPN gelding by Gunner KS out of a Gribaldi mare.
This boy has an absolutely fantastic temperament and would be suited for many different jobs. Although bred with a dressage career in mind he shows great form over a jump. He has no vices or quirks and is a totally un spoilt clean slate. He’s literally the young prospect everyone is looking for. Oscar has a curious and intelligent outlook on life and would really like to move out of his stable into our house.

2017 16.1hh British Warmblood Gelding

"Barney" is a 16.1hh 6 year old ISH. Has show jumped and schooled cross country in Ireland. Has also hunted in Ireland and England. Barney has a fantastic temperament, very suitable for a young rider or Adult Amateur. He is a very genuine and willing boy who just wants to please. Vetted with a full set of X-rays. He’s pretty easy on the eyes too.

"Casper” is bred to event - this boy’s grandsire is Fleetwater Opposition. He has evented through Preliminary and won at BE100. Would make a fantastic YR horse. Honest jumper with great flat work too. Has competed straight dressage scoring in the 70% range. Imported in October 2022 with a full set of x-rays including back and neck.

“Neville” is by Firestone (Johnson). Neville has been slowly and carefully produced with a long term career as a dressage horse in mind. He is an AA dream horse. Super comfortable, quality gaits and a willing attitude is going to set this horse up to move through the levels easily. Imported in August 2022 with a full set of x-rays including back and neck.

“Tubby” is by the Grand Prix show jumper Kannan. Absolutely lovely character who is willing, talented and just a fun horse to ride. Tubby enjoys his job as an event horse but would also excel in the jumper ring. He is very scopey and careful. Tubby was imported in June 2022 with a full set of x-rays including back and neck.
